The ID Vault™ is designed to mount to the back of a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT), providing a convenient place to temporarily hold driver’s licenses, identification cards, or other cards while entering information into your computer. Instead of balancing IDs on your keyboard, center console, or lap, the ID Vault keeps them visible and readily accessible throughout your investigation.
Designed by a full-time law enforcement officer, the ID Vault was created to solve a common problem faced by officers in the field. Its low-profile design keeps IDs secure without interfering with normal MDT use and installs in just minutes using the included adhesive mounting tape.

If you’ve never dropped an ID Card in the endless abyss that is the black hole center console of a Ford Police Vehicle, you haven’t worked in Law Enforcement for long.
I’ve stopped almost 9,000 people in my career, and all it takes is one bad case of the C4 Energy Drink jitters to banish the suspect’s driver’s license to Hell. Then, you’ve got to take your eyes off the suspect to dive into your footwell and fight to regain the dignity you’ve lost with your legs dangling from the driver’s door looking for the criminally small plastic suspended slippy-card.
I’m not too proud to admit that I’ve found myself accidentally prolonging a traffic stop more than once trying to retrieve an ID from the plastic eating monster from the dark trench under my center console.
Not anymore! I’ve been using the ID Vault for about a month now, and it’s a life saver!
It perfectly fits DL and ID cards from all around the Country, and they remain in the vault snug enough for your Dad to pat twice and say “Yep! That ain’t goin’ nowhere!” Its designed to fit two ID’s, but if you insert the corner of the ID’S, you could fit up to four without any problems. It doesn’t warp in the sun, the adhesive has stayed strong on the upper corner of my laptop, and I no longer run into a situation where I have to jump out of my car to address a Level 100 Karen jumping out of her car casting the “you can’t stop me, I’m parked” spell, and yeeting her driver’s license off my leg and into oblivion. Fantastic product! I use it every day, and I absolutely love it!
The only problem I’ve run into is breaking the habit I’ve formed from 9,000-ish stops of putting the ID on my keyboard, and getting used to using the ID Vault. After getting used to it, it’s been great!
